HELPING THE HOMELESS
As per the census of 2011, there were 1.77 million homeless people in India, which means there is a huge shortage of 18.78 million houses in the country. India stands in top among the world countries for having the most number of people who doesn’t have a home or shelter. Homelessness is not only restricted to the rural part of India, the counts show that Indian urban homeless people are also on the rise. Around 3 lakh children are dwelling in the streets of India without a shelter and they earn their living by begging on the streets or working at a very short age. These children if educated and provided training for skill development, could provide themselves a living as well as could contribute to the well being of their family and economy as a whole We at Sun Flower Charitable Trust work towards upbringing the lives of people like these who are unable to meet their requirements for even the basic necessities like Shelter, food or clothing. We give a helping hand to these people by re locating the homeless families, old people, children to our orphanages & old age homes. We also construct small homes and resettle these families there. These are the activities Sun Flower Charitable Trust undertakes towards the betterment of lives of homeless.
- Reach out to Children who are separated from families and working towards their relocation.
- Providing education to the children living in streets
- Donate clothes, food and water to the street dwellers
- Giving medical aid to people on the streets
- Constructing small houses to families in streets
- Educating women on streets with skills for self sustaining.
- Join hands with Communities, government and business groups working towards the same cause
- Providing employment opportunities to the homeless men
- Empowerment of women and promoting Self Help Groups
- Organizing seminars, impact studies, workshops, research study and awareness campaign on educational policies, statistics, health, legal issues, women and children developmental activities.
- Promoting adult education among the street dwellers

We raise funds for the betterment of lives of people who are in need of support in areas of Education, Health & daily necessities. We seek and offer funds to the beneficiaries based on the areas the donor want to fund them.
