Disaster Relief
Charity & Volunteering for Disaster Relief
The Indian subcontinent is prone to natural disasters due to its geography and its climate. Every year, a staggering amount of lives are lost and those who survive natural catastrophes often find themselves without basic provisions like shelter, food and means of sustenance. They’re forced to live in conditions that can hardly be imagined by those of us who are privileged.
We, the Sun Flower Charitable Trust, try to do our part to assist families going through the tragic loss of lives, livelihoods and all the problems that ensue after a natural disaster. To that end, we undertake the following efforts:
- Fundraising for setting up disaster relief camps, make sure the affected people are fed, have clothes, a shelter to stay in and have access to medicines as they may require.
- We try to educate people on how to stay safe, as much as possible, from disasters.
- We have a team of trained volunteers ready to assist as much as possible to ensure safety and proper care of the victims.
Our diverse volunteer team includes doctors, nurses, ex-military personnel, students, managers, retirees who want to protect and safeguard people.
